Huntingdon Christmas Lights Appeal
Support your town AND you could win money every month
The 500 Club is your chance to support Huntingdon Town Partnership's Christmas Lights Appeal and to be a proud part of putting the SPARKLE into your festive season. At the same time, it gives you the chance to win some great cash prizes every month.
How does the 500 Club work?
When you join you'll be given a unique ticket number. Each month, as long as you have paid your subscription, your number will be entered into the draw. If your number is drawn, you're a winner! It's as simple as that.
Who can join?
Anyone over 16 years old.
How much does it cost?
Each ticket costs just £2 a month and you can have as many as you want. Payment can be made by cheque or standing order (see form below).
What are the prizes?
Once we have 500 members, the monthly prize money will be up to a total of £500. We will begin by returning 50% of all monthly payments in prize money, which will increase with membership.
What happens to the proceeds?
The net proceeds will go towards funding Huntingdon's Christmas Lights and the purchase of some new lights.
How do I know if I've won?
Draws will take place every month - dates can be found on the HTP website. All prize winners are notified personally and details posted on the website and in the local press (see below for web address).

With just 500 members in the Club, that makes the chances of winning a great deal better than the National Lottery or Premium Bonds!

Rules of The Club
- The name of the club is Huntingdon Town Partnership (HTP) Christmas Lights 500 Club (The Club).
- The object of The Club is to raise funds for the Huntingdon Christmas Lights.
- Each participant must be over 16 years of age.
- The Club will be administered by an Executive Committee consisting of four members of the Huntingdon Town Partnership, one of whom will be selected Treasurer and be responsible for keeping the accounts of The Club and arranging payment of prizes.
- The decision of the Executive Committee will be final in any matter concerning The Club, which requires adjudication.
- Tickets will be £2 a month. Subscriptions are payable either six monthly (£12) or annually (£24) by cheque or standing order.
- A participant may hold more than one ticket of The Club.
- Each ticket will be allocated a number between 1 and 500 and a Membership List will be maintained.
- Prizes
- Prize money will be paid out at 50% of the subscriptions each month. If there are 500 tickets entered in a monthly draw there will be 3 prizes of 1st prize £300, second prize £150 and 3rd prize £50. If the monthly membership of The Club is less than 500 tickets, the 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes will be the same ratio of prize money to subscriptions.
- Prize winners will be notified in writing and payment will be made by cheque to the address shown on the membership application form or to an address that the member may have advised.
- The draw will take place on the last Thursday of the month, or a week earlier if Christmas coincides with the last Thursday of December.
- The results of each draw will be published on the HTP web site.
- The first draw will take place in September 2007.
Tickets can be purchased at any time. Admission to the draw will start in the same month if payment is received by 15th of the month. Otherwise admission to the draw will start the month following receipt of the correct subscription.
- The accounts of The Club will be audited annually.
